What customers say?

“ BEST SUSHI in Palo Alto! Look no further! Delicious, a lot of fish, fresh and very reasonable prices. Best experience, excellent people working here. Delicious. Congratulations!!!! ”

“ As someone’s whose Zaydie is a mashigach, I’ve been to a number of kosher restaurants and have worked with multiple kosher caterers in the Bay, including Japanese cuisine restaurants (which were not kosher) professionally. The excitement in the community about a new kosher restaurant, a sushi one to boot, has been a frequent topic in social circles. While the fish was particularly, delightfully, good, and reasonably priced, in addition to polite service, there were, unfortunately, deficits. Let’s start with the menu, which has the usual warnings about eating raw fish, but has no other information about dietary restrictions or known allergens. The service failed to ask about dietary restrictions, and only upon a request for tamari sauce did it occur to them that they had not done so. Promptly informing me that some items were already dropped gluten, no offering about changing the item for another of a similar cost, or refiring, and when said item (the deep fried tofu, agedashi tofu, which is not traditionally something breaded) was brought to the table the server kept reiterating that had I told them I couldn’t eat gluten and that they would’ve made this item differently. It was very clear that they did not wish to go out of their way or expense to make food that their customer could eat and that they were making it clear it was the customer’s fault. Which is highly unprofessional and impolite, despite the server’s smile while reiterating this. Besides failure of informing clientele about potential allergens not listed on the menu, the miso soup was utterly horrible. It was sweet while being sour and never ever ever had I experienced such a saccharine yet sour miso soup. It literally left a bad taste in my mouth. In summation, you must ask about allergens because they aren’t obviously listed nor do they ask about dietary restrictions, and the miso soup was abysmal. While the fish was good there is no way that I will be making the hour drive out to sample their sushi unless my Zaydie is in tow with me. ”

“ This is seriously delicious kosher sushi. I was also very pleasantly surprised that it tasted very good the next day as well, we ordered take out on Friday to also eat on Shabbat day, and it was still very fresh and yummy (let sushi sit out for one hour before eating to let rice soften up is my recommendation). I would highly recommend and will always come back when I'm in the Bay Area. When we dined in the service was great and food also delicious. ”

“ Outstanding. A gem of a place. Unique and fresh- delicious creations. Reasonably priced. Loved the tempura mushrooms and Kaisen roll and tempura bananas! Visiting Palo Alto this was a great find! ”

“ If you’re looking for top-quality kosher sushi in the Bay Area, Holy Sushi in Palo Alto is an absolute must-visit. Nestled inside the Taube Koret Campus, this hidden gem offers a sushi experience that’s fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. We ordered a mix of poke bowls, sushi rolls, and edamame, and every bite was a standout. The poke bowls were packed with ultra-fresh fish, crisp veggies, and perfectly seasoned rice, creating the ideal balance of textures and flavors. The sushi rolls were expertly made, with a great selection of classic and creative options. Each roll was a testament to quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. And let’s not forget the edamame, which was steamed to perfection and lightly salted—simple, but the kind of snack you can’t stop eating. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or just looking for a delicious and fresh kosher meal, Holy Sushi delivers. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you lived closer just so you could come back again and again. Highly recommend! ”

“ Driven by here a few times since they opened and finally stopped to try it out. Don’t sleep on it! The tempura mushrooms amazing!! Some other very noteworthy stand outs: the Negitoro hand roll, the Kaisen roll and the Hot roll, if you like spicyyy, so good! ”
